In 2016, the Autodromo di Monzo became the first race circuit in the world to use augmented reality to create immersive experiences for its visitors. ARtGlass paired 3D reconstructions with historical films, photos, and narratives to enhance the tourist experience, bringing to life significant figures and races at the track. Andrea Sabatino, marketing and communications director of the Monza National Circuit, said: “The synergy created with the racetrack made it possible to apply, for the first time, the same futuristic technology to the world of motorsport, creating an experience suitable for both enthusiasts and families who are approaching the circuit for the first time.”
